I would like to suggest that if you are selling an item, in addition to the 15 post min and the requirement to having your location in your profile, that you also be required to have your email address in your profile.
the reason for this is that some memebers may not be as active as others, but chances are everyone checks their email.
There was a post for something for sale or trade - i have pm'd the poster and for over 1 month its still sitting in my out box because the member has not signed back in. IF there was an email in his profile I would have emailed him and chances are I would have an answer by now.
Thanks for any input any of you may have on this, support or against.

I guess he's not too interested in trades/selling it after all, eh? Good point on email. So noted. Thanks.
Edit-Rules updated to reflect email address requirement.

i'll be withdrawing all my for sale items because my email address will NOT be posted in an ad.

I'm not positive, but when I get a PM from some forums, the forum software will send me an email telling me I have a PM, and I need to log on to get it. Really, though, If someone is serious about selling something, they will log on and check their ad once in a while. Unless something catastrophic has happened to them and they cannot access their computer.

I didn't want it posted in the ad, nor am I asking for that.
I simply want it in our profile, and visable in our profiles.

If you click on anyone's profile button it pulls up the information they wanted sidplayed for public.
But the email is not show, even though there is a space for it.
My email is in my profile, but does not show when you click on my profile button in any of my posts.

i check my pm's whenever i'm selling something, but it won't go in any ad/profile for public observation.
this is another case where idiots who can't follow the previous rules make things harder for the people who do.
here's another idea. sh!tcan the idiots who can't/are too lazy/stupid to follow the current rules.

You can't see anyones email address in their profile. This forum doesn't even have a way to directly email another member like other forums I belong to, you have to PM them and the PM triggers an email if they have that option enabled in their User CP.
I would suggest that everyone everyone make sure their User CP option allows email from the site, and allows PMs.
You can check that in your User Control Panel, under "Board Preferences"
While you are there, double check that we have your correct email address in the "Account Settings"
No one will be able to see your email (not even Moderators... I just went and looked)
What will happen is when someone PM's you, you will receive an email from Flaguns that says "you have recieved a private message"
So no worries about privacy issues, guys.
I will suggest that if you need help or guidance when dealing with a seller, don't hesitate to contact the moderators. If nothing else, we can lock the ad until the seller responds, or delete the ad if it becomes a public nuisance.

When I get a PM, the forum sends an email telling me.
