I like it. What did you use and how did you do it? I wonder how it will hold up to shooting &/or cleaning.

I used airbrush paint i had laying around. it says "water resistant when dry". i used the paint and a toothpick. i put the paint on and let it sit for a bit. then wiped off the excess then used rubbing alcohol to clean it up.

Looks good. I hope it holds up under your brand of gun cleaner. :D

I did the same thing in orange and added orange floor plates to the magazines for my 17. Helps me keep the 17 mags separate from my other Glock mags. All I filled in was the 9mm, the Glock logo, the 5, 10, and 15, and the US and A in "aUStriA" :D It's a great and easy custom touch.

This stuff is more durable on slides and metal frames, though.

JDO451, Thank you for starting this whole thing. I have color coded all my Glock magazines this way. I have a dedicated G 17 for HD duty and I have color coded all the magazines with orange floorplates and orange lettering. That way I don't accidentally grab a G19 magazine under stress. One of my every day CCWs is a 19. For all the spare magazines I have for it I color coded them different colors and put blue Glock floorplates on the blue colored ones. I bought a bunch of these:
http://www.mtmcase-gard.com/products/ha ... boxes.html (http://www.mtmcase-gard.com/products/handgun/ammo_boxes.html)
the 50 round boxes come in green, red, blue, and gray. Each box of 50 will fill 3 Glock 19 magazines and it's no big deal to sort them by color. For other colors, I just put a colored sticker on the top of the box. If i need ammo for SHTF or just for a trip out of town, I can grab a box and three magazines in an organized way. For the wife's Glock 26, I colored her 10 round magazines pink, and her spare 19 magazines purple. I keep them in a purple bag from Bagmaster where she can get them if she need them.

I have read that a lot of people use crayons, and then wipe off the access. Never tried it, but sounds interesting.

I tried crayons and made a mess. Testers model paint worked good. I'm sure gun scrubber will take it off if I'm not careful, but it was easy. The Glock looks great and I seen a M&P with the "M", red, the "&", white and a blue "P". It really looked cool. I have a lowly Sigma and pimped it out by polishing the slide to a mirror finish. I used wet sand 600, 800, 1200, 1500, 2000, 2500 grit and then mag wheel polish.[attachment=0:d9110]c.jpg[/attachment:d9110]
