My EAR HURTS! I forgot to grab the.....

I went out to the woods the other day and I was forced to shoot without my hearing protection. I usually have a pair in my truck but I had forgotten I let my co-worker use them. My ears are STILL ringing.

Ouch. Buy a couple small packs of ear plugs and leave them in your vehicles. They're cheap. and they offer a LOT of protection for the money. That'll give you a few pairs of "backups" if you forget your main ear protection or if you need extras for more shooters. Even if they deteriorate after sitting in a vehicle for a long time, they're still cheap to replace.

Yep that's one thing the old saw bones can't repair is hearing. When it's gone it's gone. Please be careful.

HUH? WHAT? just kidding. i always have some plugs handy if i don't have the muffs.

We were out riding in the jeep the other day and my wife wanted to shoot the new Taurus Millenium .45. I did not have any earplugs in the truck so I wadded up napkins and stuck them in her ears just to help prevent damage. Will not happen again. Now I have several pairs in the glove box.

As an invincible teen ager I used to shoot all the time with no ear protection, my ears would ring for a little while and stop. Then one day 30 years ago they started to ring and they haven't stopped since.

Always wear ear protection!!
