Nice.

I am funding an AR for my son and need an ACOG for myself. My age finally justifies optics.

My age has required optics for a long time now Andy. Infact I got to get up and get some new glasses at the doc's tomorrow. I am like Doc Holiday when drunk I see two of everything but I also have two guns like him. One for each target. Naw just kidding. I am having some troubles beon 25' for sure. Hope these new glasses help as they are just for shooting. :D

I hear U guys, I remember when I used to nail a target the size of a basketball from 100 yards with-out a scope with my german K-98 MAUSER... Now, even 25 yards is a struggle... 5o yards, I'm off by a foot, 100 yards no way, not any more... Besides the K-98 nearly broke my shoulder last time I fired it...

Whenever we go camping to the everglades, I take this puppy as my sidearm weapon... U know, just in case we encounter a panther or a snake... Never had to use it in anger, and like all my guns, hope I never have to but I won't hesitate if it's necessary.

no stupid locks like the Smith & Wesson Revolvers...

Joe,

the K98k is only hurting if you are firing it sitting from a bench, or not pulling it in hard enough.

I could always put 10 rounds on a nine inch paperplate, standing and off hand at 100 yards but since I live in Florida, I neglected my rifle skills, mainly due to lack of a good rifle range here in the south. Lately I am working on my rifle skills again with the help of a good air rifle.

If you carry the GP100 and like it, you will probably love the SP101! Mine has Hogues and shoots as well as its big brothers, the GP100 and Super Redhawk.

Andy, Gruss Gott,

After 40 shots or so, I got so tired and my Mauser slipped from my shoulder to my arm and left me a huge bruise, black and purple, for 2 weeks...

I hope to get a SP101 3 inch in the gun show here in Miami next weekend...
I also will be looking at the Browning Hi power...
Frau will only let me get one of those 2 options for Father's day...

Joe,

the reason that I got away with so many gun purchases is, that I learnt to cook. After making a delicious dinner, when everybody is happy, I tell my wife with dreamy eyes about the one gun that I abslolutely have to add to my humble collection....

My safe, the one I have bolted down to the floor with 4/4 inch screws, is "officially" full...
that's where keep all of my guns and all of my ammunition, and other important stuff like passports and papers...
lets just say that if the safe were located on the second floor, it would have given in and caved in by now...

my wife has finally stopped giving me grief about my guns... after all she has several dozen pairs of shoes and about 8 -fine- purses... so we have called it even...

since I can't keep a $700 purchase away from her -like the hi power Browning- that I plan to get next weekend, she received 4 mother's day a beautiful purse...

with this RUGER GP 100 4 inch SS, I can hit at 25 yards a target the size of a basketball every time using -by choice- the double action position with very hot loads of 357 magnum... my favorite... after 100 shots, my hand turns purple with a slight bruise... I love it...

Darn it...I bought a Snapper (lawn mower) with my tax rebate. :(
However, I was way overdue for a new mower.
I like your ideas way better though!
Sounds like your wife is a keeper. :)
